BASIMA: Four people were killed and 15 others, including women and children, suffered injuries in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck near the Basima area of Washuk district on early Friday morning.

Basima Assistant Commissioner Shahzad Zehri told Dawn the bus was on its way to Quetta from Turbat. He said the bus driver was among the deceased. The injured were moved to a nearby hospital, where they were given medical treatment before being shifted to a hospital in Quetta for further treatment.

Sources said four of the injured passengers were in critical condition. The assistance commission did not provide reason for the accident.
