ISLAMABAD: A gang of five persons looted an expatriate shortly after he arrived in the capital, police said on Friday.

Mudassar Hussain, who had been earning his livelihood in Muscat for the last six years, landed at Islamabad International Airport, and was received by his brother M. Ansar, the police said, adding that both brothers were on the road waiting for a passenger vehicle. In the meanwhile, a wagon appeared there and both boarded it, assuming it was a passenger vehicle, the police said, adding that five persons, including a driver were inside the vehicle.

Four persons pulled out weapons and held the brothers at gunpoint when they reached toll plaza near Sangjani, they said, adding that the gunmen started beating them black and blue and snatched valuable items from them. Later, the gunmen pushed them out from the vehicle and escaped.
