KARACHI: A young man was shot dead off Superhighway on Wednesday.

Police said that Dil Murad, 32, was shot and killed over some personal dispute at a cattle pen near Jinjal Goth.

SITE-Superhighway Industrial Area police SHO Idris Bangash said that the victim was an employee of the cattle pen. He said as per initial reports, some friends were joking with each other while one of them identified as Ihsan Ali was carrying a pistol. His pistol accidentally went off and a bullet hit Murad in the head. He died on the spot.

The suspect has managed to escape from the crime scene. The officer said the police were investigating the case. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfill legal formalities.
