UNPRECEDENTED INFLATION: The ongoing constant onslaught of inflationary pressure being faced by the middle and lower classes has brought many to the brink of poverty. It has become very difficult for the common man to meet the ends in these difficult times. Exorbitant power bills top the list of unbearable expenses that one has to pay on a regular basis. The government must think about the poor segments of society and rationalise the prices of basic utilities.

HORRIFIC TRAFFIC: The ever increasing number of vehicles, poor traffic management, unavailability of public transport, and lack of parking areas have collectively made a mess

of the traffic system in Karachi. Commuters have to wait long hours in unending queues on congested and narrow roads with cars being parked on both sides, wasting their time and causing mental agony. The authorities should do something about the problem.

UNIVERSITY ROAD: The University Road is full of potholes in the aftermath of rains in Karachi. Adding to the woes of commuters is the ongoing work on the Red Line bus project which has congested the road even more, causing traffic logjams during peak hours. The road is a regular route for many students and workers, and the government should act to facilitate them at the earliest.

IN A WHIRLPOOL: The residents of Bhimber in Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been caught in a whirlpool since a rainwater drain cuts through the hills on one of which happens to be a village. During rains, the drain starts flowing fast, and brings the lives of the residents to a standstill. The residents of Bhimber have to move to the other side of the hill to reach the town situated there and to take the road to the main city. Every monsoon, and months afterwards, the residents suffer.
