MANSEHRA: Federal parliamentary secretary for interior MNA Mohammad Sajjad Awan said here on Sunday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had approved the establishment of women’s campus of the Pakistan Scouts Cadet College (PSCC), Batrasi, in Darband tehsil of the district.

“The prime minister has ordered the establishment of a women campus of the Pakistan Scouts Cadet College, Batrasi, in Harigah area of Darband tehsil,” he said while speaking to mediapersons here.

“The PSCC has been imparting education to boys only and the prime minister wants it to also provide the same quality education to the women of Hazara by setting up a women’s campus,” he said.

Mr Awan, who is elder brother of retired captain Mohammad Safdar, said that the women’scampus would prepare girls cadets like the boys to serve the country.

He said that other development projects had also been approved for the district.

He said that the prime minister had ordered the launching of the multi-billion gravity water supply scheme for the city and its suburbs.

“The people of the city and its suburbs have been facing drinking water scarcity and the issue would be addressed as early as possible,” he said.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA said that the federal government had already released over Rs300 million for the acquisition of land for airport. He claimed that the coalition government led by PML-N would complete its tenure.
