RAHIM YAR KHAN: The police are reluctant to arrest the suspects named in a gang-rape case.

Bhong police on Oct 11 registered an FIR on the complaint of a resident of Basti New Karachi in Sadiqabad. He alleged his sister, a domestic help in the villa of the landlord, was taken away by a suspect to a place where four people gang-raped her.

Initially, he sought a settlement of the case through the involvement of locals but failed. Now, police arrested only one suspect and took no action against the remaining three.
