LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Tuesday demolished several illegal constructions in an anti-encroachment operation in different areas of the city.

The operation was carried out by LDA Town Planning Zone-2 on the direction of Director General Aamir Ahmed Khan on Multan Road, Iqbal Town and Sabzazar Scheme.

The team demolished four illegal shops constructed on Multan Road while sealing several plots in the Government Superior Service Employees Housing Scheme.

Town Planning officials also demolished shops in JEI factory area and sealed a property dealers building in A block of Sabzazar. The team also demolished an illegal building of a restaurant in Rachna Block, Iqbal Town, and also sealed a plot in College Block of Iqbal Town over illegal extension.

The team members include Chief Town Planner Shakeel Anjum Minhas and Town Planning Director Salman Mehfoz while a police contingent was also present on the scene.
