LAHORE: Opener Sidra Amin, wicket-keeper Sidra Nawaz and Sadaf Shams have been included while Pakistan axed Irum Javed, Anam Amin and Gul Feroza while announcing a 15-member squad for the Women’s Asia Cup which is tentatively scheduled for October in Bangladesh.

The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the squad on Wednesday, which was the last day to submit the final list of players to the Asian Cricket Council.

While Sidra Amin and Sidra Nawaz have been recalled to the side, Sadaf is yet to have been capped at international level. They were the only changes Pakistan made from the squad that featured in the recent tri-series in Ireland, which included the hosts and Australia, as well as the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Bismah Maroof has been retained as captain despite Pakistan having performed poorly during her leadership.

Squad: Bismah Maroof (captain), Aimen Anwar, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Naseem, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Kainat Imtiaz, Muneeba Ali, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz, Tuba Hasan.
