LAHORE: Punjab health authorities have alerted public to take preventive measures as the Covid-19 is spreading again across the province, particularly in Lahore.

Official figures say 69 people have tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours across Punjab, taking the ratio to 1.2 per cent.

The Covid claimed the life of a critical patient in Faisalabad on Monday.

Of the new positive cases of the virus, 56 were reported from Lahore and eight from Rawalpindi, the two districts which have been recording most of the cases during all Covid epidemics.

The positivity rate in Lahore is 2.8pc and Rawalpindi 1.2 pc.
