RAWALPINDI: The City Traffic Police has announced the weekly schedule of Mobile Police Service centre to provide facilities to citizens at their doorstep.

The service would be available on Grand Trunk Road, Rawat, Gorakhpur, Adiala Road on Thursday, Chowki Ranial on Friday and Main Baza Jatha Hathial on Saturday from 9am to 4pm where citizens would be able to avail 14 other facilities apart from driving licences.

A police spokesman said following the orders of Chief Traffic Officer Naveed Irshad, the in charge of the Licencing Branch has released the weekly schedule for the convenience of citizens.

Mr Irshad said traffic police were making use of modern technology through which citizens were being provided facilities at their doorstep.

Meanwhile, Adiala Circle’s special traffic enforcement squad has initiated a campaign against driving without a licence, driving a vehicle without a number plate and other traffic law offences with an aim to make sure that the city has the finest traffic management possible.

Mr Irshad, Adiala Circle Traffic In-charge Faisal Khokhar along with the special squad issued challan tickets to 89 people at various places for different violations.

Prevention of road accidents and protection of life and property of road users on highways is the priority of the traffic police, Mr Irshad said.
