Rs200m earmarked for medical college

OKARA: The Punjab government has sanctioned two medical colleges -- one in Okara and the other in Narowal.

PML-N MNA Chaudhry Riazul Haq Juj told reporters at his office here that Rs200 million had initially been earmarked for the college in Okara.

He said Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz had taken interest in the project on his (Juj’s) repeated requests about the need for a medical college.

DIE: A woman was killed while her husband and minor son were injured in an accident.

Rescue 1122 officials said a family was on way somewhere by a motorcycle on Okara-Deepalpur Road when a car hit them as a result of which Rani Bibi died on the spot while her husband and minor son suffered injuries and were shifted to hospital.
