KARACHI: Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Friday inaugurated four parks under the 100-park project of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation in the city.

The four parks — Hasan Musana Aliv Park in North Karachi, Umme Kulsom Park in Buffer Zone, Parda Park in North Karachi and Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Park in Liaquatabad — were renovated and restored under the public-private partnership.

The administrator, who is also provincial government’s spokesman and chief minister’s adviser on law, said that 25 parks had so far been opened for public after renovation under the KMC’s 100-park project.

He said that the parks established in district Central for public were in a dilapidated condition due to negligence for the past many years.

He lauded district Central team and said that they had set an example for the offices of the others districts.

Deputy Commissioner-Central Taha Saleem, who is also the administrator of district municipal corporation-central, was also present on the occasion.
