MOHMAND: An independent candidate and newly-elected chairman of the Kuz Kadikhel village council in Haleemzai tehsil Janzeb Khan announced the joining of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf here on Sunday.

He made the announcement during a gathering in his hujra.

Chairman of the National Assembly standing committee on Safron Sajid Khan Mohmand was the chief guest on the occasion, where the PTI workers and local residents were present in large numbers.

MNA Sajid Mohmand welcomed the council chairman to the PTI and said the ruling party was becoming more and more popular and therefore, people and their elected local body representatives were joining it.

He said the PTI government had executed record development work in Mohmand tribal district unlike the previous ones, which completely ignored the area.
