Pakistan has reported 1,360 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours — the first time since January 10 that daily infections have dropped below 1,500 — and 31 more deaths.

Moreover, the positivity rate was recorded at 3.3 per cent, the fourth day it has remained under 5pc.

The total caseload is now 1,501,680 while the death toll is 30,040.

The countrywide breakdown is as follows:

  • Sindh: 555 cases, 1 death
  • Punjab: 339 cases, 13 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 257 cases, 13 deaths
  • Balochistan: 45 cases
  • Islamabad: 75 cases, 2 deaths
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 19 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 70 cases, 2 death
