Slovakia's health ministry has opened registration for the new Covid-19 jab from Novavax, which experts hope will win over vaccine sceptics as it is made from a more conventional technology.
The country of 5.4 million people has one of the EU's lowest vaccination rates. Only 51 per cent of Slovaks are fully vaccinated, according to the health ministry.
“Registration will start on February 15, and the vaccination process itself at the end of the month,” ministry spokeswoman Zuzana Eliasova told AFP.
