THIS is with reference to the report ‘Driver halted train to buy yoghurt’ (Dec 8). I recall my letter in these columns almost a couple of decades ago (Dec 7, 2001) titled ‘Unauthorised train stop’.

Interestingly, that letter was about a driver of a local train who would daily make unauthorised train stop between the Airport and Malir Halt stations to purchase milk from a shop along the railway line.

This may well be the same driver who used to purchase milk 20 years ago and has since started buying yogurt! It seems nothing has changed, or will change in the country … change for the better, that is.
