QUETTA: The 14 members of the Balochistan cabinet, who took the oath on Thursday, were allotted portfolios on Monday.

Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani, who was local bodies minister in the previous government, will be senior minister for local government and urban development.

According to an official notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), former finance minister Mir Zahoor Buledi will be minister for planning and development; Nawabzada Tariq Hussain Magsi has been given the portfolio of S&GAD; and the portfolio of agriculture has been allocated to Mir Asad Baloch.

Likewise, Mohammad Khan Lehri will be looking after irrigation, Mir Sikander Umrani has been given the charge of revenue and Mohammad Akbar Askani will be minister for fisheries. Food ministry was allotted to Zamarak Khan Piralizai while finance to Noor Mohammad Dummar.

Naseebullah Marri of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has been given the portfolio of higher and secondary education and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran will be minister for communication and works. Syed Ehsan Shah was allotted health ministry and Abdul Khaliq Hazara will again be the minister for sports, youth affairs and culture. Mobin Khilji has been given the ministry of science & information technology.

Among advisers to the chief minister, Nawabzada Gohram Bugti will take over the portfolio of labour and manpower, Rasheed Baloch Public Health Engineering, Sardar Masood Luni transport & population welfare.

Mir Naimat Zehri has been given the energy ministry and Mir Ziaullah Langove will look after home & tribal affairs as an adviser.
