LOWER DIR: A man was killed and another injured when a wall of a house collapsed in Shehzadi village of Balambat here on Saturday, the residents said.

They said that the two men were working near the wall when it fell down.

A Rescue 1122 team retrieved the body of Bilal Ahmad, 26, from the debris, while his relative, Tamjeedullah, 31, was pulled out in injured condition. The body and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Timergara.

Meanwhile, the health teams continued vaccinating school students against Covid-19 on Saturday.

District health officer Dr Irshad Ahmad Rughani told journalists that thousands of students had so far been vaccinated. He said the district administration also planned to recruit medical technicians on daily wages for the drive.
