KARACHI: Four suspected militants were killed in an exchange of fire with personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) near Awaran district of Balochistan.

A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday that the FC personnel, who were on a routine patrolling, spotted some militants in the area.

According to sources, when the FC personnel were moving towards a suspicious house in the area the militants hiding in it opened fire on them. The FC personnel returned fire and the exchange of fire between them continued for some time before the four militants were killed.

The ISPR statement said that the FC personnel seized arms and ammunition from the house.
