PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crimes Wing has arrested a man for blackmailing and harassing a woman.

Deputy director FIA cyber crimes Tahir Khan told Dawn that the suspect, identified as Nawab Khan, was blackmailing a woman. He said that the suspect, a mason by profession, took objectionable pictures of the woman while he was doing some maintenance work in her residence.

He said that the suspect later tried to coerce the woman into having sexual relations with him. He was arrested following a complaint by the victim.

The official said that the suspect was presented before the court which gave his two-day custody to the FIA’s Cyber Crimes Wing.
