The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take action against people making fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates.

In a statement, the NCOC said the FIA has widened its scope of investigation and launched a crackdown against such people. As a result, suspects have been arrested in different cities and the data of citizens who had gotten fake Covid-19 vaccination certificates has been collected.

They have been summoned for further investigation, after which legal action will be taken, the NCOC said.

"Legal steps and strictest punishments will be taken to stop [the issuance] of fake vaccination certificates," it said.
