LAHORE: Punjab’s coronavirus caseload on Sunday crossed 400,000 (0.4 million) as 1,738 Covid-19 cases and 26 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours in the province.

The provincial tally has risen to 401,373 and the death toll increased to 12,039. During the last 24 hours, eight people lost their lives in Lahore and 26 total in the province.

As many as 689 people tested positive in Lahore, 201 in Rawalpindi, 84 in Faisalabad, 67 in Multan, 58 each in Sargodha and Jhang, 51 in Bahawalpur, 45 in Rahim Yar Khan, 32 each in Layyah and Sialkot, 29 in Dera Ghazi Khan and Sheikhupura, 28 in Pakpattan and Muzaffargarh, 27 in Khushab, 26 in Vehari, 25 in Bhakkar, 17 in Sahiwal, 16 in Chiniot, 15 in Khanewal, 14 each in Gujrat and Nankana, nine in Bahawalnagar, eight in Toba Tek Singh and seven in Mianwali.
