Hekmatyar asks India not to meddle in Afghan affairs

ISLAMABAD: Former Afghan prime minister and Hizb-i-Islami (HI) chief Gulbuddin Hekmatyar has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peaceful settlement of the Afghan conflict and asked India not to fight Kashmir war from Afghan soil.

“New Delhi should focus on its internal issues instead of issuing statements regarding the future of Afghanistan,” said Hekmatyar while talking to media in Kabul.

He said New Delhi should respect sovereignty of Afghanistan. He was appreciative of the efforts of Prime Minister Imran Khan as well for his stance on a peaceful and negotiated settlement of the Afghan issue. Hekmatyar expressed the hope that soon there would be a government in Kabul, which would be acceptable to the Afghan people and the international community.

Also on Sunday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmed Khan called on the Hizb-i-Islami chief at his Kabul office.

They discussed the ongoing talks between the Taliban and political groups for the formation of a new government in Afghanistan.

India used Afghanistan & Afghans to flight their war with Pakistan because of Pakistan’s claim on IOK, but India forgot Pakistan is Afghanistan’s immediate neighbor and shares culture with them. The Afghans will understand this later that they were used and still being used by India. India need Pakistan’s permission to use Pak airspace. Afg airspace is closed and all flights from India and to India are spending extra time and money & if Pak closes its airspace it gets worst for India.

Not a single neighbor of India likes it....This speaks volumes about a nation. The UN should watch India for mischief it wants to create through Amrulllah Saleh hiding in Panjshir valley. If India provides any arms ammunition to the rebels it is directly interfering in the internal affairs of Afghanistan and will amount to spreading terrorism in the region.

India has built roads, dams, schools and funded a host of other infrastructure projects, including the parliament building in Afghanistan. That is called aid, not investment whereby ROI in financial terms might be expected. Investment is what China has done in Pakistan, charging mindboggling interest rates which has all the trappings of cyclical debt and taking over national assets that have been mortgaged.
