BAJAUR: Two policemen were injured when suspected criminals hurled a grenade at a police party during a raid on a house in Khar, the district headquarters of Bajaur tribal district, on Wednesday.

Police officials said the incident occurred in Adil Chowk locality on the outskirts of Khar town. They added criminals hurled a grenade at a police team when it raided a house, injuring two policemen. They were identified as subedar Abdul Jabar Khan and subedar Abdur Rahman. The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital.

The policemen retaliated the grenade attack by firing at the suspects, injuring one of them identified as Shahab Khan.
