HYDERABAD, Oct 30: Trib-ute was paid to services of late archaeologist and research scholar Taj Sehrai on his third death anniversary, at a function held at the Sindh Educational Trust here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, noted intellectuals Mohammad Ibrahim Joyo, Prof Mushtaq Mirani, Prof Aijaz Qureshi and others said the late Sehrai was a great research scholar and archaeologist and a lover of the culture of Sindh. They said Mr Sehrai had spent his entire life in archaeological research.

DONATION: The Jamshoro Joint Venture Limited has sent a cheque of Rs230,000 to DCO Mohammad Hussain Syed in favour of the managing director of Wasa as a donation towards the water filtration plant of Qasimabad.

In a communication to the DCO, JJVL general manager Ashfaq Ahmed Leghari said the company was finalizing plans to establish a community centre announced at the inauguration of the plant on Jan 31.
