LAHORE: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) on Monday announced the result of a combined entrance test for admission.

The test is mandatory for admissions in BSc engineering and engineering technology programmes of all public-sector engineering institutions of Punjab.

The result is available on the portal – https://admission.uet.edu.pk. Candidates can download their results by entering their roll number and CNIC.

The test was held simultaneously at 113 centres of the Virtual University, established all over Punjab, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

As many as 33,649 students were registered in ECAT 2021.

The maximum possible score in the entrance test is 400 and Syed Hashir Hussain from Lahore secured first position by getting 365 marks whereas Mujtaba Omar from Islamabad stood second (348) and Umair Ahmad from Faisalabad obtained third position with 345 marks.

PU RESULTS: The Punjab University has announced the result of associate degree in science/arts (BA/BSc) part-I & part-II annual examination 2020.

All affiliated colleges and private candidates can submit admission forms for associate degree in science/arts (BA/BSc) part-I & part-II annual exam 2021 till July 30, 2021 with single fee.

This schedule is open for only those candidates who appeared in annual exam 2020.

No admission form will be accepted by hand or by post. The supplementary and annual exam will be conducted in last week of September 2021.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Indonesia will provide scholarships to Pakistani students to study at its universities.

Pakistan and Indonesia are brotherly Islamic countries and there are vast opportunities for cooperation.

These views were expressed by Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan Adam Togio while addressing a function at the Lahore College for Women University. MoU: The University of Education (UE) and “She Means Work” on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to extend cooperation for the promotion of activities of mutual interest.

UE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and She Means Work Chief Executive Officer Lubna Bhayat signed the MoU.

The MoU was signed to establish a long-term sustainable cooperation for promoting research, industrial linkages, training, education and employment opportunities between LBS and UE.

AWARENESS DRIVE: The Punjab Special Education Department has designed its buses in bright colours to publicise the department’s initiatives on special education.

Helpline 1162 has been conspicuously put on all the buses. Last year, 52 buses were purchased for special children and CCTV cameras installed in buses for security purposes.
