ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Saturday appointed Amer Ali Ahmed as the permanent chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board.

The appointment has been made with effect from 2019 for four years under the provision of the CDA ordinance.

There is a provision in the ordinance that the chairman of the board would be appointed for four years. Mr Ahmed has been heading the CDA since 2019 but as an additional charge.

On Saturday, the federal cabinet through a circulation approved a summary for his appointment as the permanent CDA chairman.

The summary mentioned that there was an improvement in the CDA performance and it had a surplus budget.
