CHAGAI: Balochistan Minister for Com­­munications and Works Mir Moham­mad Arif Mohammad Hasni has said that basic infrastructure is being built in the Chagai district by establishing district secretariat, government officers’ colony and other residential facilities.

He was talking to Dawn at his camp office in Dalbandin where people from different walks of life were also present.

Mr Hasni said he was focusing on development of far-flung areas of Chagai, including those close to the borders with Afghanistan and Iran.

He said the road from Girdi Jangal to Chagai was completed, while roads connecting Dalbandin with Ameen Abad, Amuri, Bahram Chah, Posti, Charbaan and some other areas were under construction.

The minister said: “The district headquarters of Chagai, Dalbandin city, is being developed under a master plan where government institutions’ buildings, sports complex, link roads, public parks, polytechnic college and double carriage of Faisal Colony bypass will be built in the first phase. Besides several development schemes have been completed in Dalbandin and other areas.”

He said provision of jobs to the qualified youths in different government departments were also the main priorities of the government and hundreds of unemployed people in Chagai would be given jobs in the coming months.
