THE “Sangh” has a strong organisation in Delhi and New Delhi. Early every morning in many of the open spaces in the city, members of this semi-military, Hindu organisation, whose avowed purpose is to attack the Muslims, can be seen vigorously training in drill, methods of combat, fencing and other forms of fighting.

Since ‘Dawn’ revealed the All-India nature of this organisation and its purpose to act as the storm-troops in a Hindu attack on the Muslims, public attention has been formed on it and it is now possible to tell something more of its organisation in Delhi.

It trains in many areas of the city and its early morning manoeuvres have been watched with apprehension by peace-loving citizens. Until recently Asaf Ali Park, in Daryaganj, was one of its training centres. As many as 500 ‘Sangh’ members used to gather there in the early morning parade to drill, to shout and to sing. These men menaced the Muslims who came to pray in the mosque which is in the Park. …[T]he ‘Sangh’ members renamed a road beside the Park as the ‘Hindi Park Road’…
