TAXILA: A man and his sister died while six others were injured as their vehicle overturned due to a tyre burst on Hazara motorway near Jehri Kass in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal Police station on Monday.

According to National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP), the deceased and injured belonged to the same family and were travelling from Abbottabad to Lahore. Sources said Saad Riaz and his sister Ayesha Riaz died on the spot while Riaz Ahmed, Saadia Riaz, Nazma Riaz, Hina Riaz, Sami Ullah and Fahad Riaz were injured.

The injured were shifted to various hospitals of Hassanabdal and Islamabad. Hassanabdal Police registered a case and started further investigation.
