Pakistan has reported 5,329 coronavirus cases and 98 deaths during the last 24 hours. This is the highest number of daily Covid-19 infections so far this year as well as the highest since June 16, 2020 when 5,090 cases were reported.

The current positivity rate is 10.7 per cent.

Breakdown of cases and deaths recorded during last 24 hours:

  • Punjab: 2,990 cases, 62 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 1,018 cases, 23 deaths
  • Islamabad: 724 cases, 3 deaths
  • Sindh: 374 cases, 4 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 160 cases, 6 deaths
  • Balochistan: 57 cases
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 6 cases
