KARACHI: A minority community member was shot dead while another was hurt while returning from a Holi programme in Clifton on Monday evening.

South SSP Zubair Nazeer Shaikh said that two Hindu community members were returning from a Holi programme in Hindu Para of Clifton Block-1 while riding a motorbike when unknown suspects also riding a motorbike opened fire on them near Sun Rise Apartments and fled.

Both men suffered critical bullet injuries and were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where one of them was pronounced dead.

The police identified the deceased as Deepak, 28. The injured was identified as Wikash Manu, 22.
