Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho has announced that all healthcare staff working at Adult Vaccination Centres (AVCs) will "receive one basic salary as an honorarium for their service".

In a statement, Pechuho said: "I am thankful for our healthcare staff for their service during this time and for coming forward and volunteering themselves to help us fight the virus."

She urged healthcare workers to get themselves vaccinated against the coronavirus, warning that if they refused to do so, they would "not be allowed to work in health facilities".
