CHARSADDA: The fifth anniversary of the martyred of Bacha Khan University attack was observed with respect on the premises of the university.

Vice-chancellor Prof Bashir Ahmed announced special package for sisters and brothers of the martyred people. Fourteen students, a professor and three other staffers of the university were killed in the terrorist attack.

The vice-chancellors and other staffers visited the memorial of the martyrs.

They laid floral wreath on the memorial and offered fateha for the departed souls. A smart contingent of police and FC personnel presented solute on the occasion.

The students and staffers of the university held Quran Khwani on the lawns of the university. A reference was also held at the main hall of the university. A large number of students, employees and relatives of the martyrs attended the event.

The event was addressed by the vice-chancellor of the university and chairmen of the affected departments.

They said that sacrifices of the martyrs would not go waste. They added that the mission of brave children of the university would continue.

The vice-chancellor on the occasion also announced a package for the relatives of the martyred students and staffers. He said that free admission would be given to the brothers and sisters of the martyrs in each department of the university. He said that quota of one seat in each department would be specified for them.
