LARKANA: Police on Saturday booked four suspects on charges of beating up a man after stripping him for plucking flowers from the guesthouse of an influential person.

SSP Masood Ahmed Bangash took notice of the incident after a video clip showing the inhuman torture went viral on social media. Police then arrested Farman Abro and Jawed Khokhar but Muzzammil Abro and Ali Dino Khokhar escaped arrest.

The four were nominated in an FIR lodged by Amir Bakhsh Kandhiro, father of the torture victim, at Allahabad police station under Sections 292-A, 328-A, 292-B, 37 F1, 506/2 and 34/2 PPC.

The two suspects were produced in court that remanded them in police custody for two days to further investigate the case.

The victim’s father said that his son was brutally tortured in the presence of neighbours after the perpetrators stripped him naked.

The arrested suspects had denied charges, police said.
