LOWER DIR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl provincial general secretary Maulana Attaul Haq Darvaish on Wednesday insisted that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) wanted to establish real democracy in the country.
He was addressing a party function at Amlook Dara in Talash where Jamaat-i-Islami activist and former councillor Khalil Khan announced to join the JUI-F.
The function was also addressed by former senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, JUI-F district emir Ameer Sirajuddin, Maulana Noor Badshah and others.
Attaul Haq Darvaish declared that the decision of the component parties of PDM to resign from the assemblies was final to force the government to step down.
He alleged the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government had turned a blind eye to atrocities in India-held Kashmir.
On the occasion, Maulana Gul Naseeb said the PDM’s struggle was to rid the country of undemocratic regimes.
BA/BSC RESULTS: The University of Malakand announced the BA/BSc annual examination results.
A notification issued the other day said out of 1,674 candidates having appeared, 1,402 were declared successful with 83.75 per cent pass percentage.
In BSc, Waqas Ahmad stood first by obtaining 456 marks, Urooj Khan with 454 marks and Zahid Khan with 452 marks got second and third positions, respectively.
In BA examination results, Aftab Alam bagged 399 marks and got first position. Kulsoom Bibi got 397 marks and stood second, while Ibadullah and Osama Ali Khan got 395 marks each, bagging the third position.
Meanwhile, UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof Gul Zaman informed journalists that the varsity had secured second position in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 12th in Pakistan and 483rd in the world in the 2020 UI Green Metrics World Ranking.
