AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine shows average efficiency of 70pc

AstraZeneca has said its vaccine for the novel coronavirus, developed along with the University of Oxford, showed an average efficiency of 70 per cent in protecting against the virus in two study segments.

UK health secretary Matt Hancock called the results "really encouraging" and welcomed the data, adding that this vaccine was "easier to administer", Reuters reported.
