PML-N leader retired Captain Safdar, husband of party vice president Maryam Nawaz, has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Safdar had been campaigning in Gilgit-Baltistan where elections are due to be held on Nov 15. He has been admitted to the Sharif Medical City Hospital in Lahore and his condition is said to be satisfactory, Ali Yousufzai, spokesperson for the PML-N's youth wing said in a statement.

PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira, who has also been campaigning in GB with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, also tested positive earlier today.
