The Women University, Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced that its classes will be held online for two weeks in view of "the current situation of Covid-19 positive cases reported in district Swabi and rising rate of death toll on daily basis", a notification said.

It said the classes of all of the varsity departments will be held online from November 7-21.

Only essential/administrative staff will attend the university on a rotational basis and have been advised to strictly follow Covid-19 SOPs, according to the notification.

Meanwhile, the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) also announced it will remain closed for 14 days from Nov 7 to Nov 20 and classes will be held online.

It did not specify a reason for the closure but said "disinfection of the entire campus will be carried out" during the 14-day period.
