GUJRAT: Thieves cut and stole four trees from the under-construction Samman-Dinga road in the area of the Saddar Gujrat Police Station.

Fahad Butt, the municipal officer (regulation) Gujrat Municipal Corporation (GtMC), lodged a complaint with the station house officer concerned for registration of theft of four trees along the under-construction road.

The incident occurred a couple of weeks ago but the highways and forest departments did not lodge any complaint with the police and the GtMC had to take legal action since the site was in its area.

Police have registered a case.
