KARAK: The residents here have demanded early completion of the local four-kilometre road from Jail Chowk to Karak city, saying the incomplete project has been troubling commuters since long.

Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, social activists, including Raza Khan Khattak, Sajid Ali, Aftab Ahmad and others, regretted that the four -kilometre road had been under construction for six years now, but due to delaying tactics on the part of communication and works department the project could not be completed so far.

They said that a delegation of the local elders had met with a deputy director of the concerned department in early October and urged him to resume work on the road to resolve people’s problems, but the department failed to take any action to expedite work on the project.

The activists said that they would not tolerate any further delay in completion of the road project.
