LAHORE: The Punjab government on Monday transferred Lahore Deputy Commissioner Danish Afzal, replacing him with Mudassar Riaz Malik.

Swapping the officers, the government posted Mr Afzal as managing director of the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) in place of Mr Malik.

Since both posts are of BS-20, both BS-19 officers have been posted in their own pay and scales.

CABINET: The Punjab government is holding its 36th provincial cabinet meeting at chief minister’s office on Tuesday (today).

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will preside over the meeting that will discuss 28-point agenda.
