THE Balochistan Education Department has directed the management of private schools to give a 20 per cent concession in school fees because of the Covid-19 pandemic. On the contrary, many private schools in the province have ignored this directive and instead raised the fees from Rs 800 per subject last year to Rs 900.
This is a completely unjust act on the part of private school managements. The parents of many of the students studying in these schools can barely make ends meet and cannot afford the increase in the monthly fee per subject. The Balochistan government should look into the matter.
