Outstanding performance by Adnan

KARACHI, Sept 23: An outstanding all-round performance by Adnan Malik steered Zone V to a three-wicket victory over Zone IV in the PCB Inter-district senior cricket championship Karachi Region at TMS ground on Friday. Left-arm leg-spinner Adnan was almost unplayable as he scalped six batsmen for mere 14 runs in 12 overs to restrict Zone IV to 154 all out in 44 overs.

Later, he made sure that his team emerge winners as he was the top scorers with 40 as Zone V reached the target for the loss of seven wickets.

In other matches Wajihuddin struck 149 in Zone VII’s massive 363 for seven wickets against Zone III and Saeed bin Nasir compiled a compact 102 in Zone II’s 317 for nine wickets against Zone VI for whom Irfanuddin claimed six wickets for 79 runs.
