LAHORE: As many as 313 more new confirmed cases of coronavirus were reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 91,129 so far.

Similarly, the total number of deaths reached to 2,100 all over the province after the virus claimed the lives of five more patients during the last 24 hours.

According to official figures released by the health department on Wednesday, out of the total new confirmed cases, 101 were reported from Lahore while others from Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura Jhelum, Attock, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Faisalabad, etc.

From the new deaths, two each were reported from Rawalpindi and Attock while one from Lahore where the total number of deaths due to the virus has reached 801.

A spokesperson for the health department said 377 more people tested positive for the virus recovered and discharged from various hospitals of the city.
