THE recent terrorist attack by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) could have led to disastrous consequences, but luckily our skilled and brave jawans of Sindh police’s rapid response force saved many lives.
These policemen deserve praise, for they have set an example for their colleagues.
We have also learnt a lesson from this attack that we need to spend our resources on internal security too instead of solely spending on external defence. The internal security and the people involved in it are as important as those who guard our borders.
We need to balance our priorities and our efforts in the right direction in the form of better training of the police force, enhancing the compensation rewards and other motivating measures.
The Sindh government and the police department should announce some monetary and non-monetary reward for all security personnel who fought against BLA terrorists. This will motivate the policemen and will improve their skills.
