SIALKOT: The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Monday urged the government to announce a special relief package for pandemic-hit export oriented sectors in the coming budget.

SCCI President Muhammad Ashraf Malik, in a press release, said the export industry of Sialkot had suffered due to the pandemic and subsequent financial crunch due to lockdown has resulted cancellation of exports orders and delay in receipt of payments.

He said the government should announce a relief package in the upcoming to help the export industry.

He added that the government should announce maximum relief in the percentage of drawback of local taxes and levies, relaxation in local taxes, levies and realisation of grant to the small and medium enterprises.
