The Balochistan Young Doctors Association (YDA) has announced ending its boycott of hospitals and resumption of services after successful talks with a government committee.

Provincial Agriculture Minister Zamrak Khan Achakzai told a press conference that the YDA has been assured that an inquiry will be held against the persons who resorted to violence against the doctors who were protesting a lack of personal protective equipment.

He said a cabinet meeting accepted four demands of doctors and paramedics.

Dr Yasir Khan of the YDA said although they have so far not received safety kits, "we have been assured that our issues will be addressed".
