A truck laden with some 400 bags of food items meant for distribution among daily wage earners was looted in Hyderabad's Hussainabad area.
SSP Hyderabad Adeel Chandio said that the police had not been informed about the delivery by officials from the district administration otherwise they would have provided security.
He added that the truck was carrying some 400 bags worth Rs1,600 each. "We are trying to locate the truck," he said.
