The first case of coronavirus in Birmingham, United Kingdom, has been confirmed, according to a Twitter post by the Birmingham City Council. The patient is under treatment.

The council also said that it, along with the National Health Service partners are fully prepared to deal with the virus and reduce the risk of more cases.
